“We still have the old Ford!” I remember how important a vehicle that was simple to fix became. The Taurus isn’t here, we came in the Caravan, but it’s waiting at home. “I can do something! Maybe I can stop the whole damn thing.” I give each of my parents another hug, digging in Dad’s pocket for his keys. “Call a cab. I’m taking the car. Trust me. Bye!”

ReplyDeleteEvery time I see some sort of time travel story, I wonder if it's like The Time Machine where you can't change anything or The Sound of Thunder where you can, and will regret it. But this makes me hope she succeeds somehow!
